The National Aviation Hall of Fame had produced hours and hours of video content. But it sat online with little traction. They needed an on-site way to engage visitors with the robust library they'd already invested in.

To entice people to consume videos, we couldn't just show content. It had to be more engaging. Instead, we created a game—a challenge—so that reaching the videos was a rewarding payoff, which amplified visitors' motivation to watch.

Guests select their age, unlocking a curated content library. As the pilot of their own plane, they fly around the country looking for videos at aviation hot spots using a joystick centrally located on a control panel. To ensure online videos would work on-site and with limited attention spans, we edited each, selecting bite-sized clips of the most high-value content.
The Work
Kiosk Structure/A plane wing provides structural support while drawing eyes from across the space.
Signage/Interpretation addresses them as the pilot, putting the guest in control.
Map Hotspots/At each location on the map, guests uncover new facts and videos.

The National Aviation Hall of Fame has already seen an uptick in engagement. By bringing their videos in the physical environment with a digital kiosk, it's more reachable than ever before. Kids and adults have a compelling way to learn more about aviation history with the power of video storytelling customized for the museum environment.
